Boscadjack

May 31st

This was our little home at Boscadjack. Well, the left hand half of the building. It was ideal for a holiday.

It is my habit to be up early, so I took a walk around, partly looking for the footpaths shown on the map.

This was the front of Swallow Cottage. I suppose we shared the boat – a little seat, in truth, with our neighbours.

We must know that I’m a total sucker when it comes to foxgloves. They are gorgeous.

Local poultry in the early morning sun. We talked to the owner on a later occasion. She was a lovely lady.

There were turkeys, too. I think the male may be trying to impress his ladies.

At the top of the cottage(s) garden there was a lovely meadow. I think one of the footpaths went that way.

It may be Cornwall but that’s a great pine tree.

Cows. They look like some kind of Victorian beast to me.

Young sparrows perched just outside our bedroom window. The one on the left has a horrid tick (or something) on one eye, so we’ll look at the one on the right.
