Some of us always have a desire to get up into the singing mountains. Demelza is in Treganna, which is part of Blisland and is close to Bodmin Moor. It was time to go the couple of miles and get out on the open road.
How wonderful. And there is the open road.
There’s plenty of water about but then we are in the De Lank Valley.
Stones lay about, but really this is the foothills of Bodmin Moor, it is quite well cultivated.
The De Lank comes in from the right with a tributary heading straight for us. This is Delford Bridge – a fantastic spot.
Just fabulous!
This is Delford Bridge – very much old-fashioned clapper bridge style.
Quite what the H stone meant, I don’t know, but there are many similar stones about.
The De Lank heads off down to join the Camel.
On the Delford Bridge and by the De Lank river.
A wall near Delford Bridge.
Snapping a photo.
The Rainbow up the De Lank valley.
Ponies roamed free but tended to roam off.
Calves posed rather better. So did a belted Galloway cow.
That looks a good place to stop, return to Demelza to enjoy a good meal.
