We reached the west of the island of Omey – beyond where we had gone 40 years before. Here we look north west, past another Omey headland.
The beach was very rocky.
Contented cows chew the cud on the close cropped but flowery grass.
The grass was shared with a reminder of a Denison of the deep. This skull looks so cat like. Is it a catfish?
This is Cruach – a small uninhabited island. Newfoundland is next stop after that.
We had decided to make for the Omey high peak – a lofty 26 metres above sea level. That’s 86 feet in English.
Let’s go!
Rabbits rather liked this high sand dune. There’s Cruach again.
A delicate pink flower. Please tell us what it is, if you can.
We’ll see some views from the top next.
