Here’s a little more of the Tobermory story as discovered on 9th August 2009. We had moved on from the bus stop area, near the yachts and had arrived at Main Street, the colourful road that curls around the bay which is Tobermory waterfront.

There were signs to enjoy.

We walked out on the little harbour wall.

Fishing areas seem to give scope to artistic endeavours.

Pots and ropes at Tobermory and also the clock tower which features in the Balamory stories.

Colourful housing and the less colourful fishing boats – they all competed for attention.

I noted an open hatch with some stores for the next fishing trip on board. It looks as though our fishing friends feed well enough.

Three churches are not, now, what they seem. The big one, in the middle, is now a Spar shop.

We returned to Main Street, close to the brightly painted buildings.

With the curve of the bay we could now see back towards the end nearer the bus stop. We could also see into Mull Sound – a very pleasing stretch of water.

We were on our summer holiday. So would you mind waiting whilst we have a Mull ice cream?
