After a leisurely lunch back at the tent we decided to take a look at Prawle Point. This is Devon’s most southerly point as shown on the map. The esrtuary, at the northwest corner of the map has Salcombe on the other side

The weather looked less than promising.

But the scenery was certainly pleasant enough.

There were distinct changes in the geology.

Sheep and cows grazed on the pastures
by Prawle Point.

A view with Devon gate.

A little cove. One could imagine it offering refuge to smugglers in times past.

It was clear that bad weather was approaching from behind Prawle Point.

The sea began to look angrier.

It was time to make a quick exit as the heavens opened. Next stop is East Portlemouth, overlooking Salcombe.
